Can you use this stuff on a stove vent?

The PVC Flexible Air Ventilation Duct can withstand temperatures ranging from -4°F to 176°F. That being said, temperatures on a stove top can exceed 176°F so we wouldn't recommend using this particular PVC flexible duct. We do offer high temp ducting that would work much better for your application.

What materials is this duct made out of?

Our PVC flexible duct is made out of fire retardant PVC fabric with an integrated steel helix frame covered with a rubber strip. This material can withstand temperatures between -4°F to +176°F (-20°C to +80°C), repels oleic acid and water and is tear-resistant. The fabric thickness is 0.3 mm ~ 0.4 mm.

Custom lengths are available but are made to order and ETA will need to be confirmed. However, due to the easiness of transportation and storage (reduce the risk of damage), the manufacturer suggests that the best way for option is to purchase 20pcs of 25' duct (D1146681) and connect them together. Yes there are drawstrings on each end and we also sell duct clamps as well.

Will this work with a LG LP1417SHR Portable AC Unit? The existing 6" tubing is too short for our needs, and has a built in threading for the connector.

This 6" duct should work with your portable AC system as long as the outlet/intake connector is 6" or less. The duct is meant to slide over the connector and then tighten over it with the pull string on the end or duct clamp. The duct has no threading.

Can I purchase (4) 9 ft. sections of the 40" PVC Flexible Duct? What is the stack height of a 9 ft. section when collapsed?

We do offer our ducts in custom lengths on special request. For custom lengths, the ducts are made to order and can take up to 3-4 weeks to deliver. The stack height for a 9 ft section would be approximately 6 inches when condensed.

Is there a way to prevent mice from chewing through the pvc flexible ventilation duct. Thank you.

There is really no way to prevent mice/rats from chewing threw the PVC flexible ducts. Mice and Rats can pretty much chew through anything in their path. The only way to prevent it is making sure the area in which the flexible ducting is being installed is eradicated of all mice/rats prior to the installation and have pest control do routine follow ups to make sure they didn't return. This is true for any kind of PVC flexible ducting.

I have to attach to 20" but want to use 8", how does this get stepped down?

The PVC flexible duct has a pull string that will collapse the end of the duct to shrink down to an 8" diameter. We would also recommend adding a duct clamp to secure it better. Even though you can use the 20" duct and collapse the end to a 8" we highly suggest that you use an 8" duct instead.

Can this product be used for a dryer hose?

The flexible duct can be used as a dryer hose, however, its not the intended use for this duct.

You can use the integrated drawstring, a flange or a duct clamp to attach the duct to an air conditioner, return air shaft or ventilator For your application, we recommend using a negative pressure duct, as it may better suit your requirements.

You can but the wire in the duct will prevent you from getting it completely round, the fabric collar on the end of the duct will allow you to reduce it down
